CH340 Driver for Windows, Mac and Linux

Install There are times when your budget is not enough to buy the Original Arduino boards. An original Arduino Uno is priced at P 1,100.00 at the official website (arduino.cc). If you’re a student, that’s a lot of money, so your only option is to buy the cheaper alternatives which is priced at around P 350.00 to 450.00, a big savings right? The only difference is that the USB to serial chip is being replaced by a chinese-made chip, CH34x.

After buying the cheaper board and plugging it in your PC, you noticed that it’s not working or the arduino IDE can’t detect it. Don’t panic, you just need to download and install the CH34x driver.

What is Arduino?

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. The platform is composed of a board (hardware) and a free software as the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for writing and uploading your code. The most popular board is the Arduino Uno. If you’re just starting to learn microcontroller programming, you need to have an Arduino Uno.

If you don’t have an arduino uno yet, you can buy it HERE.
